PBS Series – First Season
Healthful Indian Flavors with Alamelu – First Season
Alamelu hosted her own cooking series, “Healthful Indian Flavors with Alamelu” on Milwaukee Public Television. Her show is also being aired on public television channels in many cities across the US, including Honolulu, San Francisco, Colorado Springs, Denver, Miami, Houston, Madison, Green Bay, Lexington, Louisville, Charleston and Syracuse.
Alamelu has received several positive responses from viewers about her show. Following is an example of such e-mail messages she has received:
“First found out about you on PBS Channel KCSM San Francisco CA. I enjoy Indian food, but have never tried cooking it on my own. You have inspired me to do that. I just recently visited my first Indian Market. I was quite overwhelmed, but I am determined to learn. Made the Cauliflower and Basmati rice dish, yummie!, didn’t miss the meat at all. Anxious to try more. Thanks for being there, and you are a lovely hostess, and a great teacher!!” – A viewer from San Francisco
